Hi. I'm on 3.0 with a 2010 MBP on Yosemite. I'm in a situation where it would be advantageous to wirelessly stream the video output to a single TV or switcher about 30 feet away. Just not sure about the best way to go about it. As far as I can tell, the most feasible options are using airplay and an appletv box, or just buying a wireless HDMI extender. Anyone out there doing this and having success with considerations for latency, signal degradation, etc. Am I missing any other options eg. sending ME's output as a wireless stream to something other than a video card?
