El Capitan OS X Testing

Tried out the first new public beta of El Capitan yesterday. Mix Emergency 3.0.2 plays videos fine as far as I can see so far EXCEPT for the overlay function. Text, Image, etc are ALL jacked up and need some love.

Also, any versions previous to 3.0.2 have messed up video playback. The output screens are cut into 4 different horizontal sections. 3.0.2 is the only version that doesn't do this.

Hello i would like to midi map serato dj and mixemergency using the iac midi driver. Is it possible? And how could i go about it? Want to map both sample players be the same, but i dont have the hardware for it

Mac mini minimum specfications to run MixEmergency 3

Hello,

I want to buy a Mac mini specifically to run MixEmergency 3. Here are the current specs for the Mac mini hardware:

Have you had anyone test any of these Mac minis with MixEmergency 3 yet?

If not, I am willing to be the test guy and go buy one and come back with a report. I think this would be helpful because the Mac mini is probably the cheapest way to use MixEmergency if it works at all.

I am looking for a link to a video that would show the best demo of MixEmergency 3 in use. I am having a hard time finding any demos (probably because youtube blocks most demos of video mixing).

MixEmergency has always worked fine on my system until i upgraded. I keep getting these report during export. Is there a known solution for this yet??

H264 Exporting

Is GPU hardware acceleration is used for H264 exporting ? I find exporting slow (it should be fast with gpu hardware acceleration thanks to quicksync)

Recently bought a new pioneer DJM 900srt and am having midi problems and an effect that I can't get rid of. I deleted ME and am reinstalling but need me ME3 serial number again. [e-mail removed] thanks

Twitter Quartz Composition Overlay

After a number of requests, I've tidied up this Quartz Compotision overlay that will display a Twitter search (for example, you can search for "@yourusername" to find all of the tweets that mention a particular username).

Here's the file: http://www.inklen.com/download/172/TwitterXMLFeed_MixEmergency.zip

Download. Unzip. Edit (to add your username - you'll need Quartz Composer for this). Save. And then load it into MixEmergency in the Quartz Composition Overlay section.

I've changed a few things:
- Change the positioning system (positioned relative to the bottom, so you don't lose it on 16:9 screens).
- Added a customisable time limit, currently defaulting to showing Tweets within the last 12 hours.
- Colours are now more easily customised.
- The text will now look clearer (there was an issue with the unit sizes).

Plus sign "hang" on pointer

When I drag a video into the window my pointer sometimes has the plus sign hanging on the pointer until I click somewhere else outside the video window. Is that something i can fix? I have a pic of it...... how do I upload it to you?

Would it possible on the next update to add a "pin" on the Overlays Panel? I would be a great option to be able to keep in the front like the other panels. Thanks and great work as usual on the new beta!

Hello all,

I have a MAC, Serato Dj, and have been using ME for past 2 yrs (updated to ME 3.0.2.) Is there anywhere on this site or another site that gives a better explanation of all the different things ME can do and what are the optimal settings for a MAC are?

I know that i am not using ME to it's fullest potential.

Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

I cannot open the overlays window. I select it from the window menu or press command-5 and it will not display.

Been seeing lots about "Flyboost" wanted to see what your reviews on the program were. Went on their website and sort of vague. Is it good, is it bad, is it worth it? Does it work well with ME? Does it slow down ME?

Best Render Settings

I am currently using the latest ME with a 2011 MBP 2.4 i7 w/ 16GB ram & SSD. Serato DJ w/ DDJ-SX2 & 2TB external. My renders look flickerie...I know thats not a word but thats how they look. They go bright, less bright, less bright back to bright in 3 second intervals. Never fades all the way out but not consistent in its finished render & I get HUGE file sizes. Any suggestions?

MIDI Fader Issues

I'm having an issue (Rane 62, MBP 2.4 Ghz i7 with 16GB Ram, Serato DJ MixEmergency), the crossfader stops in the center, and on occasion I have to bring the fader back to the center point to get it to complete the transition. It also seems to do it on the upfaders as well. Both faders are controlled (up & down) on PGM 2. However PGM 1 works independently. I'm not "super" midi savvy... so I didn't want to keep tampering with re-assigning or have it re-learning. I was able to map a MPD 24 to function with just Serato Video in the past and I never encountered any issues but I am clearly stomped here....

MIDI mappings for a Pioneer DDJ-SP1 controller for ME3 needed

Hello,

After being able to review the demo of ME3 , I went ahead and decided to purchase ME3.

I currently use a Pioneer DDJ-SP1 controller for Serato Video. Serato Video automatically mapped the video controls to the DDJ-SP1. Do you have a midi mapping file for ME3 that would map the standard features of ME3 to the DDJ-SP1 just like Serato Video does or do I have to manually MIDI map every knob and button on the DDJ-SP1 ?

I was able to install MixEmergency 3 on my PC using iAtkos (Hackintosh) and it works 100% stable. Google "iAtkos" for information. They custom build the MacOS installation to the specs of your current PC.

EpocCam LIve Feed

OK, I may be very stupid but I have been googling for days and CAN NOT for the life of me figure out live feed. I can get my mac's webcam to appear in the center of ME. So that was mildly encouraging, so I got EpocCam to be recognized inside ME but its in the center and its a green screen.

Can anyone explain to me, in very simple terms, how to get live video into either the left or right side, and why EpocCam is green?
