Text Options Not Working ??
I just purchased y copy and was messing around with the text options. fonts, sizes, ext.
I was able to change the fonts but I wasn't able to reduce the size or include a drop shadow as it showed in the options. Am I doing something wrong or is this not working properly?

Transfer from 1 mac to the other

Make your own effects and transitions....
There's a "hidden/unsupported" feature in MixEmergency 2.0 that allows you to create your own effects and transitions using Quartz Composer.
To do this, you create a Quartz Composition, and place it in either:
~/Movies/MixEmergency/Plug-Ins/QCEffects/
or
~/Movies/MixEmergency/Plug-Ins/QCTransitions/
These Quartz Compositions can have the following keys used as inputs:
Image1 - The left channel (or current channel for effects) [type: image]
Image2 - The right channel (for transitions) [type: image]
Parameter1 - The first parameter [type: number]
Parameter2 - The second parameter (for effects) [type: number]
Mix - The crossfader mix position (for transitions) [type: number]
HoldChannel - (for transitions) [type: index]
CutChannel - (for transitions) [type: index]
Here are a few example (and template) compositions:

I’m releasing this as a public beta version to get feedback on any potential issues before it is released as the final version of MixEmergency 3.2.0. Please be aware that, while this has been thoroughly tested, it is still a beta version, and should be treated as such. I highly recommend that you keep a copy of MixEmergency 3.1.1 on your computer in case you need to revert to this.
If you notice any new issues with this version, please e-mail your feedback to support@inklen.com, or add your comment to this discussion.

MixEmergency/Serato DJ Pro crash - can't figure it out

Works fine normally, but I've got one particular show in a crate, and as soon as it gets to around track 25, MixEmergency crashes?!
Arranging the tracks differently or moving them to a different crate doesn't solve the issue.
It just seems like the last third of this whole playlist doesn't agree with MixEmergency - very weird.
Not corrupt mp4s.
Any thoughts?

Freezing during playback macbook pro 2011
Currently I've been experiencing a lot of glitch & videos freezing and even my serato dj waveforms stuttering. I lowered my screen updates per sec. I shut off my wifi & all other programs from running during mixing in clubs trying figure out what is the issue.
I'm using videos from 3 video pools and videos I edited myself on FCPX. The problem persist no matter what videos are loaded on the screen. I used this exact set up and library with serato Video with no problems.
I'm using a lacie firewire 800 external HD
My current specs are.
Late 2011 mackbook pro 2.8 i7 16gb

Considering buying an older MacBook Pro to handle new upgrades... need input
So, been a bit since I dabbled in this. Last time this was my career and it was when Scratch Live was still being used and the Rane 57 was commonly used in clubs, etc.
Now... fast forward about nearly 4 years. I recently purchased the Pioneer S9 mixer, got the newer version of M.E. and of course had to adopt the Serato DJ software as well.
Come to find out (Duh) my 2009 MacBook Pro can't handle video like it used to.
So.... Now... I am looking at getting an open box MacBook Pro through best buy for a Mid 2015 model. Not wanting to spend a whole lot of money on what is now a hobby not a career.
Here are the specs for the one I am eye balling.

after couple songs i play during an event serato dj dramatically sound start to slow down and stop never happen before, i though it was the controller, so i try different one from i friend and it was same audio drop outs and glitches, i notice that if i play just audio runs ok but once i opened mixemergency cpu meter start going yellow and red.
Some of you have had this same issue?
any help will be great thanks.

Studdering/glitches while using mix emergency 3.1.1

Last night when I was at my gig every time I used mix emergency it was having a lot of glitches and the wave was just skipping around. Once I closed mix emergency and just used serato by itself everything went back to normal. So just to make sure I opened mix emergency again and sure enough it did the same thing then once I closed it everything went back to normal. I didn’t catch it fast enough but I did see a message at the bottom about a controller error. I’m not sure if it was having an issue communicating with the controller but I just found it very odd that this was the first time it had ever does this and none of my setting have changed. What is the best way I can troubleshoot this. Thanks
